The Denver transit agency - RTD - would never understand transit in San Francisco. In San Francisco they actually want people to use mass transit. There are maps and schedules at all the bus shelters. The adult fare is $1 and kids are 35 cents. Transfers are good for 90 minutes even if you are headed back the way you came.
