Me with a cutout of Dick Huckeride, a fellow who spent his entire adult life working behind the soda fountain in Greensburg. He served us drinks and told us about his life last time we were here.
After the tornado, Dick left town. I was told he was too
old to take care of himself. His soda fountain was rescued and
refurbished. It's being used to serve soda fountain drinks at the
Kiowa County museum. Some people still refer to the soda fountain
drinks as "Dickies."
