Into Missouri! Weird that I find entering a new state exciting.
I'm going to spend some time here. I'm riding through the Ozarks and making a turn north and heading up the Mississippi. In a way, I'm riding "around" Missouri rather than across it.
The standard wisdom, many BAK riders repeated it, is "take the Katy Trail." It's a 240-mile long, rails to trails trail that runs diagnonally nearly all the way across the state with state parks at the beginning and end of it. Nearly level grade and well-developed visitor facilities. I'm told there are sections with great views, too.
After awhile the Katy sounded so good, I started thinking I should
save it to ride with Monica. Besides I usually like riding hills and after Kansas, some hills would be nice.
