The street north of the shrine is lined with
little natural springs. Some have cheesy waterwheels
and statues in them; others were lovely.
According to a sign, rainwater collects in the huge ancient
volcano cone and reaches the surface in natural springs -- some,
according to the sign, shooting two meters into the air.
