Tahtakle, the area east of the Grand Bazaar, is full of shops selling things that regular folks might wish to buy -- ribbon, buttons, underwear, shoes, etc. There's still tourists -- the main road connecting the Grand Bazaar to the touristy Spice Market runs through this area -- but there's much more variety of goods and people here than in the Bazaar.
