As we approach the northwest corner, the
security increases. There are signs prohibiting photos in
certain directions. The reason is that the northern
section runs behind the Blue House, the President's house, and
in 1968, North Korean commandos attacked it from the north. At
this point, the guard houses contain young, national service
park ranger fellows.
